On The Upper West Side 820K Buys A Prewar Two-Bedroom With Modern Updates

Welcome back to The Six-Digit Club, in which we take a look at a newish-to-market listing priced under $1 million, because nice things sometimes come in small packages. Send nominations to the tipline.

Manhattan still has a few good real estate deals where one can score a spacious apartment at price that isn’t seven digits long. If you’re willing to trek it uptown, this railroad-style two-bedroom condo could be a good bet. Granted, with an asking price of $820,000, it’s not the most affordable apartment out there, but given it’s the Upper West Side we’re talking, it’s not completely terrible.

A lengthy gallery leads past the master and second bedroom, before reaching the contemporary kitchen with a touch of classic design. Stainless steel appliances are accompanied by by black-and-white checkered backsplash tiles along with white cabinets. A sizable dining room adorned with crown molding sits adjacent to the modest-sized living room with two large windows that allow for a fair amount of natural light.

While the bedrooms aren’t exactly huge, they are big enough to accommodate large furniture and still have space to maneuver.

There is just one bathroom within this apartment and it maintains a prewar design with a toilet narrowly situated next to the bathroom and more black-and-white checkered tiles.

Monthly maintenance will run you $1,425.
